DESCRIPTION:Come Join us for the 39th annual Public Safety Awards to Celebrate the Heroes in our Community \n\n\n\nFor the past 38 years\, the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce has been pleased to sponsor the Public Safety Awards Luncheon for the City of Huntington Beach.\n\n\n\nThrough this awards program\, city employees and citizens in our wonderful community are recognized for their personal involvement for individuals whose acts fell into the following categories:\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Good Samaritan Award \n\nRecognition of a citizen or city employee who has performed and exemplary act that displays a willingness to take quick action where another's well being is concerned\, but without the involvement of extreme personal danger.\n\n\n\nThe Award for Heroism \n\nRecognition of a citizen or city employee who exhibits courage and bravery that involved extreme personal danger and is beyond the normal scope of their job.\n\n\n\nThe Award of Merit\n\nRecognition of city safety officers for their acts of courage or bravery under hazardous circumstances and beyond the call of duty.
