DESCRIPTION:TOUR OF THE JOINT FORCES TRAINING BASE ON\n\n   THURSDAY\,   15 May 2014 \n \n\nThe Regional Military Affairs Committee (RMAC) of the Los Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce will conduct a tour of the\n\nJoint Force Training Base (JFTB) and Los Alamitos Army Airfield in Los Alamitos on Thursday\, 15th of May 2014 \n\nYou must RVSP before with the Chamber of Commerce by calling 562-598-6659.\n\nReservations are required and there is limited participation space available.\n\n \n\nWe will assemble at the JFTB Veterans Center\, Building # 244 at 1 PM The Veterans Center is located near the front gate.\n\nThe tour will start after a roll call and briefing. Your are welcome to come earlier for lunch at Fiddlers Green.....\n\n \n\nAll visitors are invited to Fiddlers Green for lunch before the tour.\n\nFiddlers Green is located at Bldg # 19\, 4745 Yorktown.\n\nLunch starts at 11:00 AM and their numbers are 562-795-2168 / 2169.\n\nReservations not required for lunch.\n\nFiddlers Green is open to the public six days a week.\n\n\n\nThis tour is an opportunity for you and your organization to appreciate an overview of the basic operations at the JFTB.\n\nThere will be a bus tour of this"1400 acre military oasis" and view of many of the facilities and activities which\n\noccur at the last remaining active military airfield in the greater LA/Orange County areas.\n\nThe two hour tour begins promptly at 1 PM at Building # 244\n\n \n\nStops will include the Airfield and the indoor range.\n\n \n\nThe tour will end with an opportunity to utilize the Engagement Skills Trainer using real weapons on an indoor laser range.\n\nYou will have to sign a release if you elect to operate a military weapon on this simulated firing range.\n\nPlease dress comfortably for using the range.\n\n \n\nThe address of the Base is 11200 Lexington Drive in Los Alamitos.\n\n(Corner of Katella and Lexington Dr\, page 797\, OC Thomas Guide).\n\nYou must have photo ID to the enter the JFTB.\n\nThe Military Police at the front gate on Lexington can provide directions to Fiddlers Green or the Veterans Center......\n\n\n\nBring your cameras......\n\n\n\nRSVP please and call if you have any questions....Thank you...\n\n \nRegional Military Affairs Committee\n\nLos Alamitos Area Chamber of Commerce\n\n562-598-6659 / info@losalchamber.org
