DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, October 23rd\, Literacy Volunteers ? Huntington Beach Public Library will host ?Wine & Words\,? our annual wine tasting event. Your support will allow dreams to soar through literacy. Read learner's stories on our blog at literacyvolunteersHBPL.wordpress.com.\n\n\n\nThe event will be held at the beautiful Waterfront Beach Resort - A Hilton Hotel\, from 7-10pm. A variety of wines will be served\, complimented with light hors d'oeuvres and delicious cookies from Sweet Mission Cookie Company. \n\n\n\nThere will be raffle items along with silent auction baskets. For a complete list\, see the event website at hbwineandwords.com.\n\nSpecial Guest Speakers!\n\nChris Epting\, local historian\, Travel Writer\, HB Independent Pipeline columnist\, and popular author of over twenty books will speak and give away a few signed copies of his books. \n\nWe will also hear from adult learners about how Literacy Services has positively impacted their lives.  \nTake advantage of our early bird price of $45 until Oct. 5\, after which registration is $55 per person.
